Paul Ryan: We Lost the Election Because Too Many Blacks Voted

Here's Paul Ryan, in a single sentence, explaining why he and Mitt Romney lost to the black guy.

"I think the surprise was some of the turnout, especially in urban areas, which gave President Obama the big margin to win this race."

Yeah, it wasn't the fact that a majority of Americans rejected Romney/Ryan's and the GOP's policies, it wasn't the fact that most Americans thought Obama/Biden deserved a second term -- it's just that those "urban" people -- well, you know how they are.

3. So out of touch with reality

Alot of these people voted because your party tried to stop them from voting and they gave you the big FU! My old man always said if you fuck with the bull then you will get the horns!

4. Guess the GOP will just have to try harder to suppress the vote in 2016.

9. You nailed it. It's something that has always bothered me...

The media and the republicans always act as if allowing "urban" voters to vote, is somehow unfair to everyone else. As if they're cheating the system by showing up to vote.

11. Because cities/urban areas tend to be more liberal and Democratic.

If cities tended to lean Republican, they'd love cities.

6. Rural voters already get an advantage

The Electoral College gives them an advantage where they have two electoral votes for each state regardless of population. Urban voters would rule the nation if not for the EC, so STFU you ungrateful liar!

7. True.

Urban and inner-suburban areas are under-represented.

12. The Electoral College map looks like it has a lot more red than blue,

but in reality most of the "red states" are the huge (mid)western states with lots of empty space and only 3-5 electoral votes.

Especially in swing states urban areas, he means their ground game could not muster any enthusiasm.
