2. i get the generic frustration with "red tape" but you'd think they could find a better example

of obsolete regulations.

most regulation is there for a very good reason, but maintaining a good set of regulations takes constant effort to get keep up with the times. that means more government employees with bigger budgets, not fewer. ironically, cutting budgets in the name of reducing "red tape" can mean that obsolete regulations stay on the books because there isn't money and staff to review and remove them.

but -- hand-washing???

4. If I ever see a sign that says employees don't wash their hands after using the restroom, I will go

to another restaurant. That's one of the basics you teach your children about health and hygiene.

I'm not a compulsive handwasher, but the first thing I do before I prepare food for myself or anyone else is wash my hands. I cook with my grandkids and the first rule is wash your hands with soap and water.
