2. Maybe he's expecting the GOP to split ...
|
... and the far-right anti-Obama nutters will officially be Tea Bags, while the more moderate, fiscally conservative pubs will stay with the GOP-proper, and that's what he's going to hitch his wagon to.

3. I used to loathe Chris Christie....
|
I still don't like him and his anti-union tactics, his attacks on public education, etc.
But it is clear he is a pragmatist. He has a heck of a mess in his state. He knows NJ alone can't deal with the aftermath of Sandy. He recognizes that sometimes government is necessary and that in these cases the federal government is a great partner to have. Obama ginned up his people to be prepared for Sandy and has been there to support Christie and other local officials since. There will always be hiccups in any response effort but by and large I think the response has been fairly effective. I wonder if Christie stepped back after he saw all the destruction and thought what would have happened if Mittens were President? Would FEMA even exist or if it did would it be on funding life support? Would Mittens be a partner in helping the citizens of New Jersey or would he be too focused on helping his rich buddies. Trust me, I"m not embracing Christie but one does have to wonder if he doesn't realize that Mittens would have been a disaster in a disaster. |

4. I'm just hoping it means that he will start moving on the exchange for health care...
|
Our state senate voted for it and he vetoed it. Thousands of his constituents are sick, dying or in debt because he was waiting for Romney to trash Obama Care. If it means he stops acting like a complete asshole he can tattoo Obama's name on his big butt!

11. If, on a whim, Christie just said "Screw it...I'm now a full-fledged Dem"

He would be a rock-star in the party.

Any minor wandering from "The Stupid" puts you in the crosshairs.
Hopefully he will continue to give the finger to the GOP commentariat and just do what he thinks is right. |

Two things that burns my arse......not posting a link to a "rumor", and not correcting a reported mistake/stretching the truth/out right lie. |
