Here's her LinkedIn page http://www.linkedin.com/pub/paula-broadwell/3/697/12b She went to West Point. I can see maybe she was in awe of him and that helped create the slippery slope he stepped on. |

Once again, ambition and flattery and testosterone derail a "leader."
Never took to him here despite his many credentials. Wondered why he had such a low profile after replacing Panetta. Chalked it up to Panetta's personal open style. Now realize he may have returned stateside to pursue other, more private pursuits. The unravelling of his life may just have contributed to critical inattention during Libya and Benghazi. Even though I was suspect of him and his motives, this is a sad ending for his career and a big complication for our Prez. For that alone, I despise him. |

before dog-piling onto someone based on nothing more than rumor. Personally, I suspect that he had an affair with a subordinate while still in the Army - and that's definitely a different kettle of fish. It's the sort of illicit relationship that would warrant his resignation as CIA director.

Apparently this has been in the rumor mill throughout the journalism community for a long time. The two of them would frequently go on 5 mile runs together in Afghanistan. |

Him running the CIA of course. Somehow I suspect there is way more to this.
And watch Republicans throw Petraeus under the bus now in their never ending quest to get to Obama. |

When the conspiracy angle on this is that she is the source that Bob Woodward was given by the Romney campaign. Watergate clusterfuck.

21. Yes, they are already speculating that the FBI and so on hid all of this to protect Pres. Obama
|
Of course they have been on the Benghazi incident nonstop, trying to make it work as a plus for Romney, since it happened. This gives them something new to speculate about -- their new conspiracy theory runs something like this: the FBI knew all of this and hid everything until after the election to protect the Pres.

16. My partner came home...

and this was on Martin Bashir. I told him the news and he was like what is the big deal if he had an affair, it shouldn't effect his job. I told him they were reporting that since he holds a position of CIA Director it could lead to blackmail if the information got into enemy hands. We both came to the conclusion that blackmail is off the table if you come out and admit to it.
He went to the store and I saw Richard Engel report that the FBI is investigating her now. He came home and I told him the plot thickens and updated him. I do think that the FBI needs to find out if anything what she saw and knows, since this story is known she herself could be targeted since she possibly could've seen classified security information. This could also put US ground members in danger as well as anybody linked to her as a friend. I must say the FBI seems on point in this situation. I don't know what prompted this investigation but I would imagine it is had to be very sensitive not only for the FBI to investigate someone close to a CIA Director, but that CIA Director is Patreus. I'm going to go out on a limb but this seems like the person he had an affair with. =D |
