How do we know Obama's presidential approval is what Gallup says it is?

I was thinking...

Historically, the media and everyone else resorts to Gallup as "the" Presidential approval rating source. But now that it is a fact that Gallup sucks ass, and does so while undercounting Democrats during elections, should we believe that, say, Obama's approval is 49% right now rather than 52% or more?

1. It's probably still about 52%, just check what other pollsters say. nt

2. Good question but there is a bit of a difference between polling a representative sample of everyone

and trying to guess who will actually vote in a Presidential election - the 'likely voter' problem that
many pollsters did a very bad job with this election.

One should never become married to a single pollster...

3. i think of Gallup as only one poll

I don't know if they're considered "the" poll anymore, I know I don't see them that way

4. Add ten percent plus their margin of error, and you might get close!

The media and these conservative polling outfits portrayed this drubbing as a "close race" and "neck and neck" when in actual fact, Obama beat Romney like a rented mule.

People don't vote for a guy they don't "approve of." Maybe they do in Bullshit RomneyLand, but not in the real world!

Ya gotta admit, they're pretty pathetic....finally, finally, at long last, everyone sees what the minority of us saw a long, long time ago--these Republicans, they're a bunch of bullshitting little emperors, strutting about in their new clothes! And now, by an overwhelming margin, the crowd knows it, and is pointing, laughing and telling them to cover that unimportant and unattractive shit up! Really...no one wants to look at Karl Rove's ass! Or Rush's! Or Dick Nitwit Morris's! They need to be dismissed from the stage of public discourse, because they have zero cred now.
