1. I still side with the rope-a-dope theory.
|
More so now as our ground game was in-place since 2009 and evolved, morphed and re-morphed into 2012 like a Tsunami....and it was stealth! Romney had a glass jaw....and he never saw it coming.
The first debate was delivered by President Obama just the way he wanted it to go. In my opinion. |

2. You sound like one of those Faux News viewers who lives in their own bubble of reality
|
Pres. Obama was listless in the first debate and he followed the path of most incumbent Presidents: they lost the first debate. Only Bill Clinton won his first debate as an incumbent.
There is no shame in that as long as they bring their A game to the remaining debates, which Obama did. I thought Pres. Obama, who is not a great debater, did an excellent job in the final 2 debates. |

Your opinion is fine...this is a discussion but don't go there please. |

9. You're welcome to your opinion, but just because others don't agree is no reason....

...to start comparing them to anything associated with Faux News.
Oh, by the way, I happen to believe the President won the first debate based on the fact Romney lied every chance he got. If you want to give a debate victory to a proven liar, feel free, but don't push that nonsense on everyone else. |

thank you.
but that nonsense was pushed on all of us by the likes of the hefties that are supposedly on our side and with the biggest megaphone: MSNBC. Are they gullible? Unprofessional? Narcissistic? Not very good at their jobs? Just looking for drama? Sheep bleating whatever Fox says? Whichever it was doesn't make them look very good and no matter how many nice lists they make now and no matter how they seem to be so gleeful Obama won, that is what I will remember. Their laziness, or whatever one of the above it was. |

It raised their hopes, which made Obama's smashing victory even MORE devastating to them.

8. Exactly...

It was implementation of big plan....not an "at the moment" debate. The trap had to be set.

Then he owned him forever.

12. Obama was surprised by the Romney's baldfaced lies during the 1st debate.
|
I was amazed at how easily Romney lied/changed positions on a lot of the issues discussed in the 1st debate. Obama probably was, too. He came prepared to debate 'primary Romney'...but Mitt pivoted into 'GE Romney' and didn't pay a price for his abandonment of his previously held positions.
