I'm sorry, but I didn't like Ann Romney!!
Her sense of privilege, and her arrogance really turned me off. When she said that no one was entitled to look at her husbands tax returns, it really rubbed me the wrong way.
So glad we have a woman of class and dignity in Michelle Obama!!

|
Ann could have played it so differently - if she had alluded to suffering from MS while acknowledging the comforts of a privileged background and wanting to do what she could to help the less fortunate, she would have won people over. But instead she insulted us by saying she knew hardship by living in a basement apartment (while supported by the sale of stocks) and eating off an ironing board. JAYSUS; f'n CLUELESS.

But, no doubt Mitt is at the very least mentally torturing her. I don't know why she puts up with him. Maybe it is because she has become just like him maybe even slightly more unlikable than Mitt, but really they just both grate on my nerves. Her laugh is the phoniest thing I have ever heard come out of a person.

You can look at the Romneys and see what they truly are. Arrogant, spoiled, privileged and nasty. Hell, they didn't even try to hide it.
I refuse to apologize because the MAJORITY of the American people, just like me, was able to figure that out. |

33. She has a certain brittleness about her that's offputting.
|
It's covered up with a veneer that doesn't flag until she feels defensive, but it's impossible for her to cover the entitled sense of remove that the ultra-wealthy maintain in their lives. Romney himself is that way, and I think this sense of not connecting with "regular folk" is because they not only didn't come from those roots, they had no sense of wanting to understand people who have get up and go to their often unsatisfying and unappreciated jobs day in and day out. It's this disconnect from what most Americans live that is primarily responsible for him not being able to mount a credible and successful campaign. They're not "us".
Rove has clearly lost his touch in taking the most cynical of candidates(and his wife) and marketing him to the American public as "a guy you'd most want to have a beer with." Did Rove or anyone else in the republican party even consider that this election cycle? |

34. I felt as though she was the MIRROR
|
Image of her Spouse. How do you love a man so much that when you take his HAND for a lifetime your family who is not of the same religion is SHUT OUT. Political and Social Prestige and Money. this is what their union was about. Her claim and stake to the AMC car fortune. Don't forget we know the whole family here. My mother and my aunts could have easily been the cast of the HELP. They all worked in Bloomfield Hills and were domestic Housekeepers and talked extensively about their employers. And it is well known that when Mitt's dear old dad was Courting the Black vote, Mitt was teased about his father placating to those people. When he simply looked at the advantage of the electorate to win. something his son had no idea to do.
Maybe because he felt he had so much money it would not dare be denied. Queen Anne as she is called sounded as if she was always talking to her children. As if she was the only adult in the room who would only know what is best. Its that unspoken tone of Motherhood that forgets that there are Professional women in the World who do incredible things and still have motherhood in their world. It is that unspoken tone that always seem to pit Working and Professional Career Moms against Stay- at -home Moms. The truth, They are both Highly important. They both SHAPE the face of our Future. Working Moms depend on stay- at -home moms and stay- at -home Moms depend on Working Moms.!!!! |

35. I was willing to give her a pass until she said it was "our turn."
|
First of all, there is no "our" about it. Mitt would be President, not her.
Secondly, whose "turn" it is has nothing to do with it. An individual has the right to serve two terms as President if they can get elected. So it is up to the American people to decide, not some fuzzy playground notion of whose turn it is. |
