Ann and Janna cried.

It seems Ann Romney and Janna Ryan cried when they finally realized they had lost. Reality bites.

Excuse me but I can't help being a mean girl and finding this funny.

2. Queen Ann didn't get what she wanted

Probably for the first time in her life, she was denied. (Denied by us little people). Poor poor Ann.

3. what amazes me is they didn't see it coming...

the rest of were watching nate.. they trusted their internal polling... of course, the fact that Willard was probably the worst candidate to run for the office ever, might have something to do with it

14. He seems pretty autocrat-y . His staff probably only showed him good polls. And, if they only

watched Fox, only good news.

This is really kind of cruel. My wingnut inlaws were totally shocked - that Romney lost. Every time I saw them. they thought Romney was ahead. Wonder why Fox did this - show only the good polls. I would think it would suppress votes. Maybe they knew Romney would lose, and they wanted them to be shocked and outraged when it didn't happen

Of course people did the same thing here. Any poll that wasn't good for Obama, was labeled bogus and right wing. Anyone who posted a bad poll, pretty much got shut down.

Interesting....I'd rather see all - good and bad

15. It's impossible for me to believe they thought they had a shot at the end

If the campaign actually thought they were close, they are more inept than I ever gave them credit for.

16. to be fair.. they probably were the victims of their own BS

near the end their crowds got bigger (for them), sometimes they had about a third of our crowd size... wishful thinking along with right wing talking points set them up..

17. No one running a national campaign would fall for or buy into any of that

We all know those things mean nothing. Good campaigns crunch the numbers, and unless it is legitimately close, like 2000 close....no one should be that surprised on election day.

Unless, of course, they are totally incompetent.

I'd like one of the MSNBC folks to interview Steve Schmidt as it relates to this about when he knew McCain was going to lose. I guarantee they knew by the final weekend the numbers just weren't there, if not sooner.

18. exactly what are "internals" ? Do they actually commission their own pollster? Or is it

something else?

20. Internal polling is done by their own company

I've actually been trying to find out what their value is from people who would know better, because it seems to me whenever they are quoted, they are wildly wrong. Someone elsewhere told me they are almost always more favorable to the campaign because they provide a "best case scenario" result, but that campaign managers still recognize the bias in them and where ground is need to be made up.

12. I dislike Ann Romney.

But Janna Ryan did not seem so bad. Stayed out of the spotlight, didn't give speeches and was not very political.
But Ann Romney was one spoiled, entitled woman.

Do not feel sorry for her in the least.

19. With Queen Ann, it's kind of a surprise

I thought she'd flounce off and having nothing to do with you people further. We had the opportunity to have Mitt run our country and we foolishly rejected it, as we low types of people tend to do.

A: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

I remember an image of Kitty Dukakis crying. I don't remember whether it was after the 1988 defeat or an earlier one.
