2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJust fiction, but compare how things are now to, say, 2-3 weeks b4 the election and suddenly
your streets are filled with police and sirens, people are being beaten, stabbed, fires breaking out...
Domestic terrorism say some, a patriotic act of defense to save our country say others.
And the election that seemed to be a forgone conclusion is now being framed as needing someone who will go in and restore order in the most "extreme, extreme, extreme" way, because clearly the other side cannot. Smoke is not something you want in the air on election day. (unless bbq).
These little bands of election minders aren't limited to election day. Makes me wonder what they might morph into over the next month.
People say I am no fun at parties, just because I prefer being pleasantly surprised instead of bitterly disappointed. lol.

(52,196 posts)people are actually worried that trump can't control himself or manage his own campaign properly.
normally, yes, republicans are seen as better leaders in a crisis, no idea why the media keeps insisting on that, but they do.
but in this case, in a sudden crisis, are people really going look at trump's mouth froth and say that's the guy we want in charge?
