Romney Credit Cards Shut down?

Tamron Hall was going to do a story about some of the Romney staff thinking they would pay for their transportation home with their campaign credit cards, only to find out that the cards had been cancelled. Did anybody see that story or know anything about that - I was distracted and could not catch it. I will appreciate any update you have!!!

1. I also heard it from Tamron and was distracted.

I thought the first problem was that the cards would not work for their taxi fare when they left Romney's speech. That means it also would not pay for their hotel rooms.

I saw a couple of posts yesterday speculating that Romney's campaign is in debt. This story sort of supports that rumor.

5. Wow. I can totally see his chief of staff canceling the cards as Romney is speaking.

that's pretty much a bullshit move. Just wow.... You KNOW he blames his staff for the loss. And people who thought he was so gracious in his concession were wrong, he put on that weird fake smile he does when he's about to, or just has, ripped someone a new one. It's that same thing from the leaked video of him on the radio in Iowa. He was Mr. Smiley jokey, then instantly turns on the guy. Or like the reporter he screamed at.

I have no doubt that he went ballistic on the staff and had the cards cancelled immediately so they couldn't get home.

2. Looks like the liar is also a deadbeat. Ordinarily, I don't like to workers

get cheated. But, that's what Rmoney had in mind for me (an old guy) -- so, ain't it a crying shame?

4. Wow. and to think he had paid to have a (cancelled) fireworks show on Boston Harbor if he won..

and now he fucks over his staff???

There was a WSJ article I posted today that the RW is saying Romney only lost because he ran out of money. Remember he NEVER lent himself any money for the campaign. He insisted that it was all donor monies... But then he also benefitted from the untold billions spent by his bundlers, and PACs.

He is such a prick that I have zero doubt he is going to stiff the staff. Any talk here of Romney being the Secretary of Commerce, is utterly insane.

7. So, really, the campaign workers ultimately paid for the canceled party? nt

14. There was a suggestion that Rmoney was diverting the campaign funds to campaign related services

that were owned by Bain or other Rmoney controlled companies. That can be done by over saturating a market via like Clear Channel radio with the profits going into his pockets.

8. NBC

The only thing I could find out about it was this small mention on NBC. Hopefully, more people will pick it up. What a heartless jerk.

10. It confirms the taxi story.

Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

"Fiscally conservative," sighed one aide the next day.

Good find and welcome to DU.

11. His staff actually got to feel

What a Rmoney Presidency would have been for 99% of us. I hope some are still stuck in the weather. When you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. They got just what they wanted for all of us. So pull yourselves up by your bootstraps and pay your hotel bill, and your flight home, or borrow the money from your parents.

13. Mustard

Upon seeing their stranded staffers Tagg Romney arrived in his Rolls "and inquired do you have any Grey Poupon or an extra 500,000 votes in Florida or Ohio?"
