When asked on Thursday morning which presidential nominee poses a bigger threat to the United States security, Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) said that Hillary Clinton poses a bigger threat than Donald Trump, citing the former secretary of state's foreign policy record.
"Ive said Hillary Clinton is completely, permanently unacceptable. We have seen her in office. We have seen what she did. In addition to jeopardizing classified intimation that jeopardizes our security, weve seen the decisions that she has made, whether its in Libya, whether it is the incredibly failed Russian reset, whether it is, you know, lying to the families of the men who were killed at Benghazi," he said on the Philadelphia radio station WPTH's "Chris Stigall Show."
"Point me in the direction of any place, anywhere in the world where our American interests are more safe and more secure today than they were when she became secretary of state. You cant. Because that place doesnt exist," he continued. "Look, Ive got real problems with things that Donald Trump has said on foreign policy, with regard to NATO, with regard to nuclear proliferation, but Hillary Clintons got a track record of disastrous foreign policy."
Stigall asked Toomey who is more dangerous after noting that Sen. Mark Kirk (R-OH), another senator up for re-election in November, said on Wednesday that he thinks Clinton poses a bigger threat to the U.S. than Trump. The senators' comments follow a letter penned by 50 Republican national security experts who said they would not vote for Trump. They wrote that Trump has "alarmed" American allies with his "erratic behavior." Over the past month, Trump has suggested he may not follow through with U.S. obligations to NATO allies and called on Russian hackers to release Clinton's emails.

But like all Republicans he doesn't care. Benghazi was turned into a political attack by the GOP almost immediately after it happened. To them it was an opportunity, not a tragedy.

(5,697 posts)and it was her supporters who were practically begging for a war and calling anyone who didn't share their war boner an anti-American traitor. And the Republicans were protesting the war and certainly not doing completely juvenile things like calling French fries "freedom fries".
