Election 2012: Study: Youth vote was decisive

"About half of all eligible people ages 18-29 voted in Tuesday’s election, roughly the same level as 2008, according to Peter Levine, the center’s director. The youth vote’s share of the electorate actually increased slightly from 18 percent to 19 percent. In total, 22 million-23 million young people voted, according to the analysis."

1. "Voting while young" is the new voter fraud

Only legitimate voters are older white voters.

3. Not just the youth....

Was it really just the youth vote? We had the Latino vote, women's vote, and don't forget to mention, the BLACK VOTE to put our President over the top! We all got tired of the marginalization by the GOP morons.

6. The point is the 18-29 age bracket does not vote in high numbers.

In 2000, only 20% of them voted. In 2008/2012, 50% of them voted. The other voting groups vote in greater numbers than the youth voting block.

9. The pundit class as well as many liberals were sure

2008 was a one time event. The consensus was young people were disillusioned with the President and would not turn out again.

The consensus was WRONG. This bodes well for the future. Of course, the millenial generation is engaged in civic matters.

11. I am so proud of these young people!

As a woman in my fifties, with children in their twenties, I am so very proud of our younger generation! I salute you!
