It's time to think about policy and governance, not the next political game. It's time to strategize about how to accomplish things for the people over the next four years, with the people we've just elected. This is what is wrong with today's political climate: it's fixated on races and competition, and not on moving the country ahead.

Repost this in two years, and I may have an answer for you. Till then, I'd love to see these 2016 threads disappear.

She deserves it. She is wonderful. She is beautiful.

So Clinton would be my first choice.

If she didn't run, I'd look at the other options on the table.

I wouldn't mind if Michelle Obama ran, I could really get behind her. However, I fear there would be a backlash if she didn't wait at least 4 years after her husband.

As for the republicans... I don't know, and I don't care.

Maybe they will go a more "sane" route and pick Rubio or maybe they will double down on crazy and pick Santorum.

If they pick Jeb Bush they are screwed too, because that name is forever tainted.

Hey, he's young enough to be Veep for 8 years. If Hillary dies in office, he can't be president though, unless she had less than 2 years left in her term.

Could be Gillibrand. Could be Warren. Could be someone else.

Republicans? Probably Bobby Jindal.
