1. the silent majority

Never lost our enthusiasm. Smart enough to keep silent and let the Rs think we were uninterested and wouldn't vote. A great strategy -- we pulled it off.
Thanks to all of the silent majority.
Psst, keep it silent again until november 2014 -- need to retake the house and add to the senate.

4. The shred of truth in that is the low turnout we had in 2010,

which turned the House over to the tea bagger contingent.

We have to figure out a way to get people charged up even when Obama isn't at the top of the ticket -- like in 2014.

5. Four years of race bating

That assured a high minority turnout. I said 4 years ago when they started that birther shit it was pure gold for us. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they would continue down that path for so long. Hell, they started it and it went away for a little while and then they brought it back! There was a price to be paid for it and the bill came due last night.

7. Yeah, courting Donald Trump was a real money move - for Obama!

6. Yeah that was such a "conventional wisdom" of this race along with "Mittmentum".

I was so stoked when early reports were that turnout in a lot of swing states locations was equal or greater than 08.

Told my best friend "this is either great for us, or terrible, but I'm pretty sure it's great!"

9. There was an enthusiam gap on both sides.

Voter turn out was down about 11% from 2008. Neither Obama or Romney matched the Obama or McCain totals of 2008.
