2. Are you serious?

Given the population of our country, the candidates, the economy, and the second-term election, and...and...and...Seriously?

I'm lookin' at Obama in office for another four years. Thanks for your concern.

4. Yet they couldn't accomodate the voter.

Shortage of ballots, long lines, ect.

7. Exactly. It was a coordinated, multi-state effort.

Sure, Obama won, but that was almost a given. The question is, shouldn't there have been more votes to count? I personally think so.

6. So true!

I mean, hardly anyone showed up to vote. Especially in OH, VA and FL.

8. Nobody outside the swing states cared - well, that's an exaggeration

I think most of the no-shows were the mushy middle independents, since they were distributed on both sides.

9. The voting process is totally screwed up

8-12 pages for Floridians to review before casting a vote? GOP voter supression? Restricted early voting in certain states. WTF is going on. It should be simpler, not more difficult to vote. Until that happens, you'll never get a huge turnout. BTW, I voted early, and still had 1.5 hours to wait. And, it was a fairly simple ballot. People like Rick Scott should be kicked out of office for his shenanigans. The GOP got what they deserved. And the good news is - No Queen Ann Anymore!!!

11. Long overdue

Three-day weekend voting
Absentee/mail voting for everyone. No justification needed. Two week period at least. Felons who have done their time allowed to vote.

As I've said elsewhere, voter turnout in this country is a disgrace.

12. Are you talking about the 10 million difference for Obama from 2008 to 2012?

13. Yeh

2008 PBO rec'd 69.5 million votes

McLame got 60million votes

In 2012 PBO rec'd 60.5 million with a little more to count. RR rec'd almost 58 million.

So it appears that PBO lost 8-9 million votes and half term sarah outperformed deer slayer by 2 million votes

16. Yes... easily. All the absentee ballots, provisional ballots, military... etc...

A month from now, when Secs of State certify their elections, you will see larger totals.

17. These numbers will go up substantially... but still be less than 2008

that was once in a lifetime turnout as many wanted to be part of history.

no way that was gonna repeat again.

which has been saying the same thing.

19. What would be interesting is to find out where.

Where were the votes lower? That's what will be interesting to examine. Was it in solid blue states? Swing states? Red states? Even across the board? That's what's curious. If it turns out the vote was up in swings but down in solids, that's a shame, but makes sense. Was it in New York and New Jersey? Could be because of the storm. Was it in Florida and Ohio, where voter suppression tactics were insanely obvious?

I don't know. But I hope they take a look at that.

20. Why is this surprising?

Republicans did everything they could to suppress the vote.

Besides, the Prez, (you know, the man who was just re-elected to four more years by the people?) said that were are gonna fix that. I believe him.

Why don't you do yourself a favor and go sit down somewhere? All that polldancing seems to have worn you out.
