Man, Florida was close!

By a margin of 47,028 votes, according to Huffington Post.

But, it's all good and I'm just proud Florida went blue!

We'll get NC next time.

1. You have to take into account that a lot of votes were

probably lost due to all the shenanigans going on down there. So the fact that we won anyway is great, especially since in the end, we didn't even need FL.

4. Oh, but we do "need" them!

We need everyone.

I was touched by their hard work, and even more touched by the people who stood in line for hours and never gave up.

Thank you, Florida.

9. Oh, I didn't mean it that way. Of course I am

thrilled and humbled at how they stood for hours in line, determined to vote!

I was just pointing out that since we are doing better in more states compared to a few elections ago, FL isn't a MUST like it used to be. But of course I want FL in our column! The bigger the win the more of a mandate!

2. Close, but a win's a win.

I'm just glad we voted for O both times. The wingnuts can never take that away from us.

5. Nah, 527 was close

They didn't manage to get in quite as much suppression as they did in 2000.

47,000 votes in that environment is a big effing deal.

Given the former situation, it was a comfy win.

10. The real heroes in this election are

the voters in Florida who braved the lines and the folks on the east coast who lost everything but still voted.

12. To my knowledge

they have not called it yet, but Huffington Post is showing 100% of precincts reporting. So hopefully they will soon, although I just saw an article that said it might not be called for a while.

20. Not as close as the "official" Florida count in 2000 when bush was

installed by the sc 5 by 500 Votes!

Does this mean Florida has been called for Pres Obama yet, GG?

27. No, not yet.

I am still shocked that Florida wasn't a complete blowout for President Obama. When Romney chose Ryan as his running mate, I thought, "That's it; Obama's going to win FL by a landslide."

I just don't understand half the senior mentality.

It's either racism or the I-got-mine-screw-you mentality.

And wouldn't ya know it, we're in one of (as if we didn't already know it) the reddest counties in the whole state! But, I do give credit to all the people who did vote for the President in all the red counties in every state. 2.7 million more did and that says a lot!

34. It gets even more sweeter

Even more sweeter with a florida victory. Congrats to those who voted for Obama and for those who stayed in line for hours before voting. I am sure Governor Scott did not think that would happen.
Do you think any Rs that were in line for hours left? Do you think Governor Scott thought that might be a possibility when he shortened voting there? I wonder if the lines kept some seniors from voting?
