I am still anxious. Even more now. Some say Trump still "won the convention battle" http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-clinton-conventions_us_579ab709e4b0e2e15eb54cd2?section=
And Howard Finemam has advice that seems sound to me. It shouldn't be necessary though...

Defeating the demagogic billionaire wont be as easy. Heres the Clinton strategic checklist for the campaigns final months.

PHILADELPHIA ― As a sales device, the Democratic National Convention here was as flawlessly staged as any in recent history.
Minutely choreographed, it was a glittering parade of moving speeches, tearful moments, pop stars and appeals to every stray bloc and believer Hillary Clinton needs to beat Donald Trump.
Unlike last weeks Republican convention in Cleveland, where Trump drilled down into his base rather than reach out to skeptics, Team Clinton executed the classic pivot to the general election.
But conventions are just the start. In the age of social media and second-by-second news cycles, they are as evanescent as a tweet.
The real campaign has only just begun.
Here are the top things Clinton has to do (or avoid) to win what most Democrats here (inside and outside the Clinton team) think will be a tough race against an unpredictable foe.
Dont Rely On The Media.

GOTV! (Like Glenn said, GROUNDGAME)
And as Joe Biden said:
"This is America! C'mon!"

(9,082 posts)I'm trying to think of a new contact medium that suits her. Facebook seems old school. Email doesn't work. And twitter is not her thing. Maybe a surrogate could upstage him there. Somebody witty with a pin to puncture his balloon... who isn't a politician.

(617 posts)1. GOTV for potential Jill Stein defectors. No, get them out for Hillary
2. The Black Vote - whatever we can do to make sure that doesn't drop after Obama - NY Transit workers going to Philly to help GOTV - sounds great! Let's do it.
3. Working with the Latino community - Another GOTV issue.
4. Win OH and PA - Ground game, ground game, ground game.
Hope we're doing enough on these!!!!

The man is utterly mad! Believe me, Anatoly,
You're playing a lunatic
Anatoly:
That's the problem.
He's a brilliant lunatic,
and you can't tell which way he'll jump.
Like his game, he's impossible to analyze.
You can't predict him, dissect him,
Which of course means he's not a lunatic at all.

I think we need to reveal the network of scamming of the public that goes on in this country pronto. It's a multi-billion $ industry. How many are in it and are they in or out of the country?
P. S. Love Chess. I saw the original cast in London in 1986.

I guess they're not thinking that multi-millions in loans from Russian oligarchs would likely come with stings attached...?
Oh -- And your description forgot "narcissist"!
P.S. Lucky you! I always thought the original cast was the best.

(9,082 posts)It was the era Perestroika
(Russian: перестро́йка; IPA: [pʲɪrʲɪˈstrojkə] ( listen)) was a political movement for reformation within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union during the 1980s, widely associated with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and his glasnost (meaning "openness" policy reform.
And "Chess" seemed 5 years too late. It wasn't really the "U. S. VS U. S. S. R., as sung in the show. I think it's one reason it wasn't a big hit.
Also interesting that Romney claimed Russia our greatest threat 4years ago, while Trump is doing business with them (maybe illegally) and wants to be Putin's ally.
How did that happen?

(9,082 posts)Saw her tonight with James Carville on Charlie Rose and Carville seemed 10 steps behind all the way through. Knowing and seeing Trump and his uncontrollable mouth get this kind of expert support is daunting. She not only is a fast talker, but she gets many points across wothout taking a breath.

I am unnerved. But am going to follow her on twitter and hope I glean something.
