Why do Republicans whine so much about the media?

I admit to being enough of a political junkie that I listen to talk radio during my work day, and as you can imagine most of it is right leaning. I'm a combination of a fool and a masochist I suppose.

Anyway, I know the talk show hosts have always bitched about the "media" being against them, and I saw a lot of references at the RNC convention last week about how the media was "rigged" against them. Especially in that long winded speech by Pence. He showed his boo-boo face a couple of times talking about the media.

My only problem with it is that it's kind of bullshit. They have a large large majority of the talk radio audience, and they have the #1 viewed News Channel (why, I don't know).

Just thinking out loud, but it just kind of bugged me more than normal this past week. For a group that "pulls themselves up by their bootstraps", they sure are soaked in tears a lot.

Make the media so scared of being accused of bias against your side that they actually end up bending over backwards to not be too hard on you.

I think you have a good point. It's just sad that many won't just do their job like they should.
