If I'm a Republican, I am bummed tonight.

There will never be a better time to steal an election then today. 4 years from now - better election protection, better results for the macro-economy, fewer white older males, more diverse younger Democrats that will carry the ideas of Obama, Kennedy, Kerry, and Clinton forward. Meanwhile, who will be the Republican hero's? Beck, Limbaugh, Bachmann, Palin? You gotta be shittin' me.

who can tell?

They lost 80% of the non-white vote and still are within a million votes, with another HUNDRED million non-voters.

A little money goes a long way. A ton of money goes even further.

And the GOP will have no Reagan, No Bush Sr., No Bush Jr.

Their leadership is old and failed.

Cause you have to realize the bushie republicans are done and its back to the wilderness for a while! We are going to hold power for a while but if we want to stay in power the party has to absorb the changes of the electorate on a yearly basis and adapt.

Yep, I'm proud to be one of the few, the proud, the white older males who helped re-elect the President.

I voted straight Democrat and voted for Medical Marijuana, even though I'm old, white, male, heterosexual, a veteran, rural, have a short haircut, dress like a ranch hand, own a pickup truck, guns, listen to country music, and generally embody all the traits you might expect of somebody who would have voted for Mitt.

But you'd be wrong to think that. I went as liberal/progressive as possible on my ballot and will next time too.

I don't go for treating women like the lesser gender, for oppressing people who love one another just because they're the same gender, for throwing people in prison for smoking some weed, for giving everything to the rich, for throwing the disabled to the wolves, or for jamming my own spiritual beliefs down somebody else's throat. Or for any of the other stuff that people associate with the other side.

So do bear in mind, not every old cowboy you see is a conservative. Some of us are the GOP's worst nightmare, LOL!

Last night should illuminate for anyone objectively seeking the truth the practical idea that moderation must return to the Republican Party. Senatorial candidates in Missouri, Indiana, and Connecticut were defeated SOUNDLY last night. In a very Conservative state of Missouri, the hard-right Conservative got 39% of the vote. Think about this? 39% of the vote. It is unacceptable for that seat (as well as the one in Indiana) to be in Democratic hands today if you're a Republican. Guys, you better open up your big tent or you'll suffocate.

Another point of note. I find it mildly amusing that when Republicans won in 2004 and 2010 the media couldn't resist talking about how the nation is moving right, is center right yada yada yada.

Today, it's all peaches and cream, we need to work together. The nation wants us to work together. Why didn't the nation want us to 'work together' in 2010?
