DWS Replaced as Permanent Convention Chair by Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio

They have dropped her completely.

(CNN)Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not speak at or preside over the party's convention this week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.

The DNC Rules Committee on Saturday named Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, as permanent chair of the convention, according to a DNC source. She will gavel each session to order and will gavel each session closed, a role that had been expected to be held by Wasserman Schultz.

Guessing they don't want a Ted Cruz moment. Can't say I blame them in the least. Good move by the rules committee.

I think people are worried that Bernie would go "Cruz" on us. MoonRiver Jul 2016 #10

Do not pay any attention to the man behind the curtain. Pretend there is nothing wrong. The end results are all that are important. Forget democracy, it is meaningless.

There was no mention of fraud in my post.

I have a question for you: Why was she replaced?

It is a real concern, although I believe Bernie is much better than that. Still, why take chances???

he stated that it did not change his support for Hillary.

More the like they were worried about DWS getting booed everytime she poked her head out

Until she took this position, I liked DWS. But as the emails show, and seemed obvious months ago starting with the debate schedule or the handling of the data compromise, the DNC was not impartial. It was not a fair fight. And for that alone, she should lose her position.

Good riddance. I hope her primary challenger kicks her butt.

I never thought she was as 'evil' as some wanted to see her, but regardless it was time for her to go.
