I attended the Rules Committee meeting here in Philly yesterday.

There was no 'uprising' which was predicted here. There won't be one at our Credentials Meeting today or on the floor of the convention.

We are fully united.

That plane that has been circling the city with the 'End Superdelegates' message was wasting it's time.

They will not be eliminated this week. Or any week.

Donald Trump was once a Democrat.

'nuff said.

Then when he was given the reigns he told us "Don't worry I got this" yeah he got it alright, we got plenty of HOPE but NO CHANGE to speak of!! He was too busy smoozing Rubes in the House and the Senate to work with him. Too bad he didn't see they weren't interested in anything but obstruction until it was really too late. If you want something to complain about, by all means, vote for Drumpf or vote third party. I'm old enough to know that the "all or nothing" mentality takes us back. There really aren't too many people who supported Bernie that I would consider racist or bigoted. They tend to be to farther to the left and normally are standing in protests with many different progressive groups, leading drum circles...

I think people are speculating on someone who was giving a descriptive narrative of what was occurring at the time of the event... And if that is your take away from the entire post or video feeds from the event, then I think content is being lost. Unity should be occurring and this means on both sides; especially in light of the DNC hacked e-mail leaks heading into the convention.

color is bad... Are we supposed to be like Colbert, who was "color blind" on his Comedy Central show for years? There's nothing wrong with diversity if you are a normal person. It's the beauty of America. Now, if it's Trump, yeah, he's a known racist asshat... If you are a normal, regular person, descriptions of one's color or size is just a description... I think she was more intimidated by "big". And I don't know her size... If she's 5' 3" like me, most people are all "big" in comparison. Big size if more intimidating than any color to me. Of course I come from VT and live in FL... I live in a minority, majority state. We tend to use descriptive terms to one another... Some with bigotry in their outlook.... The farther south you go in FL, descriptions of what someone looks like, tend to be descriptions of what someone looks like.

Silly me, I thought the Trump dullards were...

I believe we stand a better chance of winning elections and enacting progressive reforms if we embrace the Left rather than attack them. JMHO.

And it is clear that the center-right of the party has been on the attack over the past 2 years. I think a line has been crossed, and we would all benefit from outreach, and in some cases apologies rather than digging in our heels and pushing allies or potential allies away. This election is going to be closer than many realize, and we'll need all the votes we can get.

I wouldn't buy on to that. In my state, the governor participated with Hillary Clinton and President Obama in fundraising over the past year, and there are a lot of practical negative consequences that would come from Banning contact between candidates and superdelegates.

I want super delegates as a line of defense against smooth-talking charlatans. I believe in a party that actually demonstrates leadership as well as reflect the views of its members.

……there's now an agreement to reduce the role and power of super-delegates in the future.

That's important. Really important. This is about the integrity and perception of integrity for the Democratic Party—not all about her, not all about him.

So that plane had an effect, Bernie had an effect. Change is suppose to be "incremental" or so I thought.

And DWS will not address the convention—which is unprecedented.

That plane that has been circling the city with the 'End Superdelegates' message was wasting it's time.

They will not be eliminated this week. Or any week.

Donald Trump was once a Democrat.

If the dark day ever came when the Democratic membership elected an extremist, then all that would be achieved by superdelegates trying to over-ride that choice would be the implosion of the party. You can't ask tens of millions of people for their choice and then tell them they can't have it even though they won. Superdelegates are utterly pointless for the role they are intended for, because they literally can never be used that way without destroying what they supposedly protect.

To stop a future Dem Trump we simply need to understand the needs of working people and ensure our party runs candidates that work hard to meet those needs. It shouldn't be difficult.
