http://www.abc15.com/news/region-phoenix-metro/central-phoenix/loretta-lynch-bill-clinton-meet-privately-in-phoenixSources tell ABC15 Clinton was notified Lynch would be arriving at the airport soon and waited for her arrival.
Lynch was arriving in Phoenix for a planned visit as part of her national tour to promote community policing.
ABC15 asked Lynch about the meeting during her news conference at the Phoenix Police Department.
"I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane," said Lynch.
The private meeting comes as Lynch's office is in charge of the ongoing investigation and potential charges involving Clinton's email server.
The private meeting also occurred hours before the Benghazi report was released publicly involving Hillary Clinton and President Obama's administration.
Lynch said the private meeting on the tarmac did not involve these topics.

(18,187 posts)Nothing, but it does make a courtesy call sound downright nefarious.
I would imagine that this "meeting" was just as consequential as the April "meeting" in Vatican City.

(18,187 posts)It was an unplanned courtesy call.
If you're not sure what that is, call Pope Francis. He's pretty good at explaining these things.

(1,370 posts)Knowing that Hillary's under criminal investigation you'd think talking about the grand kids could've been put off until the FBI completes their investigation..
They both should've known better..

(1,901 posts)event that a crime is ever uncovered.
So, no there is no relationship between the FBI and a conversation about grandkids, no matter how much the media and the RWers are trying to spin it.
They did nothing wrong, both of them do know better than the people trying to make this into something by hook or by crook.
Zero wrongdoing here, those trying to scandalmonger should know better.

I find it interesting that so many are so devoted to RW creations.

(18,115 posts)This is not a right wing creation. I think you are confused.
synergie
(1,901 posts)who is a tad confused about what's going on here and why. I think you should spend a bit more time doing your homework about these things that seem to fascinate you so, you might learn what the RW is and how they're very much behind this never ending investigation that has found no evidence of wrongdoing on Clinton's part.
Wanting to believe something is understandable, but ignoring the facts, the truth and reality isn't excusable. RW sources are certainly clinging to this to create a scandal, but like all the other that they've attempted, it is also a fail. Read sources that are not RW and you'll figure it out and perhaps your confusion will disappear when you know what's going on from credible sources.

(1,370 posts)Lynch herself admitted that the meeting cast a shadow over the federal investigation over Hillary's private server..
And she basically removed herself from the decision making process as to whether Clinton should be prosecuted...

(1,370 posts)Problem is the FBI doesn't do "security" investigations.. They to criminal investigations..
"I don't even know what that means, a 'security inquiry.' We do investigations here at the FBI,"

(1,999 posts)Your claim that the FBI only does criminal investigations is a lie.
raindaddy
(1,370 posts)What type of investigations do you think they do?
synergie
(1,901 posts)understand that investigation of something is not proof that the thing they're investigating is criminal?
The lack of any evidence of wrong doing or anything criminal should have clued you in.
raindaddy
(1,370 posts)This isn't that hard...
The FBI wouldn't waste their time or the public's money to investigate "something" unless they believed there were possible crimes involved... Sorry you don't like the sound of
We don't know exactly what evidence they have because they haven't released their findings. We know they gave Hillary's IT guy immunity. They don't usually give someone immunity unless there was some type of wrong doing involved.
synergie
(1,901 posts)and when they're telling you it isn't a criminal probe, it's not hard to realize that it's not what the RWers are characterizing it as.
It's really cute how naive you are about how politically motivated investigations don't exist, it's like you literally have no clue how much money has been spent on investigating progressives on purely political grounds. Sorry you don't understand how things work, even when it's pretty much been explained with the waste of the nth Benghazi thing in the news.
Actually what we know is that if anything had been found, it would have been leaked, since that's kind of what's been going on, we also know why the IT guy had asked for immunity, to avoid being attacked by the political forces.
You're making a lot of assumptions, and overlaying them on a basic lack of understanding of how the FBI, immunity and investigations actually work, also you don't seem to understand how they have been leaking tidbits, and who's been doing so.
I'm sorry that actually figuring out things work is so hard, and that you're clinging to things that you like the sound of, regardless of who's saying them, why or how far from reality they are.
You're doomed to be as disappointed as the RWers who keep trying to make this into some sort of criminal wrongdoing despite facts, truth and reality to the contrary.
raindaddy
(1,370 posts)you don't know what you're talking about....
I'm not making this into anything I'm simply stating facts.. Immunity isn't something that's granted because you ask for it.. It's granted because there is enough evidence of possible laws being broken that the grantee is protected if they tell the truth..
Obama appointed the current directer of the FBI.. Are you suggesting he's involved in a politically motivated investigation? Any proof of that? Obama own State Dept slammed Clinton for going against recommendations and using a private server, are they part of the conspiracy as well?
It's bound my comprehension why anyone would so completely identify with any politician that they're willing to completely close their minds to simple facts...

(11,605 posts)I doubt anything untoward happened but tactically it was just stupid.
synergie
(1,901 posts)Nothing untoward happened, and the things that the RWers and the Clinton haters are saying, are things they've been saying and would have been saying anyway. Quite literally, trying to create a scandal here is just silly.
