If Elizabeth Warren were the VP nominee, how about Duval Patrick for Senate?

The two-term former Governor.

There's also a Kennedy grandson who won his seat in the House with 61% of the vote.

In Massachusetts an opening would have to be filled by a special election called 145-160 days after a resignation letter is submitted. Warren could submit it a day after the election, the clock would start running them and the temporary appointment by the Governor would only have a few months in office.

3. How about keeping Elizabeth Warren in the US Senate.

1. It is where she wants to be.

2. She has proven to be advancing quite quickly.

3. She can bolster executive branch iniatives, especially if there is a Democratic POTUS (e.g., Hillary Clinton).

4. She is a fierce advocate against Wall Street excesses. Why would anybody want to remove her from a position of power to a mere ceremonial position where the only thing can do is wield a gavel and break tie votes? It makes no fucking sense whatsoever.

5. She has expressed no desire to be either POTUS or VEEP. In fact, on Rachel's show a couple of weeks ago she explicitly said she liked being a senator, and only when Rachel pushed her rather deliberately, did she say that she would consider VEEP. I took it as a rather reluctant concession.

My mind? She wants nothing to do with the executive branch of government at this time. She likes the senate.

4. Did you see how she answered the interviewers question about whether she was qualified

to be President now, if she were VP and something happened to Hillary?

She thought for a few moments, and then answered a flat "yes."

That was an opportunity for her to demur, to say that she really didn't want to be VP -- and she didn't take it.

I thought that was interesting.

8. I heard Rachel's interview.

But did you hear Rachel specifically qualify her question? She basically said, I know that you aren't wanting to be VEEP, but if you were asked, do you think you are qualified?

I listened to it twice to make sure I got it right. It was a forced answer by Rachel. Who would say no to that question?

Also in that same interview Warren stated unequivocally that she loved being a US Senator.

Unfortunately, folks here focus on the forced question, the contrafactus, that Rachel asked at the end of the interview. It had no bearing on reality. Or on whether Elizabeth Warren wants to leave the US Senate for the executive branch.

One has to listen to the interview carefully to get it.

Rachel was trolling for a quote. Shame on her.

9. She still could have prefaced her "yes" by reiterating her lack of interest

in being VP.

I think it's significant that she didn't.

And , yes, there are "good Kennedys" among the younger generations, too.
