Very high turnout in West Cincinnati (MSNBC)...

Cincinnati is a bluer city in a pretty conservative area. Can anyone from the region tell me if West Cincinnati is Democratic/Republican?!?

I know Obama won Hamilton County in '08, but it's a county Kerry lost in '04 ... so, it's definitely a swing area.

If the City vote is high that is good for Obama, if you have enough money you did not live in the city limits but on the outskirts. Which makes the County of Hamilton very RED but the City of Cincinnati is very BLUE

Do they mean out toward 275 in Price Hill or the "West End." The West end is Over the Rhine which is an African American community. The western part of Cincinnati (price hill and toward 275) is all German catholics.

It is historically German/Irish Catholic and VERY CONSERVATIVE. People describe where they live by their parish. I grew up in St. Kate's. I wouldn't live there now if you paid me.

It used to vote Conserva-Dem, and was represented by Tom Luken for decades. It has gone full teabagger, and the rocket scientist Steve Chabot has been the congressman for years, except for 2008-2010, when a Dem, Driehaus, held the office in the Obama wave. Chabot retook the office in the teabag midterm.

Recently, in the last decade, there has been a demographic shift as more African Americans have moved in, and more Caucasians have fled to the suburbs outside the city limits.

So, my guess is that there's a lot of black voters showing up to support Obama, but also a lot of haters voting against him. Everyone should vote, so that's good I guess.

I just hope there's enough to boot Chabot and put Driehaus back in.
