What about substituting the word "public" for "government"

Such as, it's so wonderful that the "public" provides us with beautiful city parks, and open spaces.

"Public" programs that support our children (kindergarten, Running Start) and elders (medicare, social security) are hallmarks of a civilized society.

"Public" benefits to help struggling folks, such as food stamps, on their way up the economic ladder are a wise investment.

It strikes me that this is a change of tone, and possibly, effect.

It may be getting lost right now since tomorrow's election day But it's a great idea to bring up soon. Wish i'd thought about when talking up Democratic core beliefs.

Thanks!
