* I expect the typical snark filled responses from a few choice Clinton supporters about this. That being said.....
Suddenly Hillary is deemed to have "clinched" the Democratic nomination, when there has been no real change in the situation.

(30,481 posts)That isn't snark. It's what changed.

(6,399 posts)Oh, come on.
Perhaps there's some sense of that in a state primary where there are no other issues at all going on. But California had a slew of races and initiatives on the ballot. EVERYTHING is going to be counted.
People screaming otherwise repeatedly are like street corner prophets saying the end is nigh, day after day, week after week, and wonder why they're roundly ignored.

(5,761 posts)Over a million votes have already been tossed out.

(5,969 posts)Everybody can check that more votes than that have already been counted because 3.8 million is close to the number of the Dem race alone. If we also take a look the numbers of the repub race and almost 2.5 millions still left to be counted, it is also very questionable that over a million votes have been tossed out. It just doesn't add up.

(14,255 posts)I think the DNC and MSM decided there had been enough fucking around with the planned coronation. And, in the event that Bernie pulls ahead somehow, they will drag out that "oh, but to declare a different winner now will be sooooo upsetting!" or some such bullshit.
If things proceed along the same lines as now, I will just drop out of politics. Enjoy my social security while I can.

(5,761 posts)What gets me is that Dems could have really opened up the party to so many new people with nominating Bernie. A whole new generation of people and many won't support Hillary either because they see her as part of the problem and not the solution.
Both parties are bleeding people and Hillary doesn't really bring in anybody new to the party. Dems could have had a huge tent, instead they want it small, as small as a Hillary rally apparently.
Heck, I very well may have stayed a Dem if Bernie was nominated but I already changed my affiliation back to Indy.

(10,565 posts)Apparently all those people at the rallies didn't vote.

(5,761 posts)Plain and simple.
The GE electorate is a very different thing and she is the weaker candidate. You can say whatever you want but we've all been through this a million times. Hillary brings nobody new into the party. Many of Bernie's supporters are young indy voters. And many will NOT be voting for Hillary in a GE.

(10,565 posts)Give me a break. One of the MSM's favorite sports is to tear down Hillary. They would have loved to see her lose. They kept Bernie propped up for months to keep their ratings up. Cue the X Files theme.

(5,761 posts)It sure isn't the same as the rest of us that's for sure.
CNN and MSNBC were 2 things 24/7....Hillary & Trump.

(10,565 posts)In the last three months Trump, Bernie and Jane Sanders and Jeff Weaver were on ALL the time. The media tried to make it look like a horse race to keep ratings up-it's all about ad money for them-they don't like Hillary.

(34,845 posts)A much better prospect than admitting that your candidate lost.
With Sanders going back to Vermont to 'contemplate' his future, and with him even further behind than before, you still cling to this childish fantasy that the world will reboot more to your liking.
Isn't it about time that some of you learned that you don't always get what you want?
I'm always right. When I'm wrong I admit it.
So then I'm right about being wrong.
(21,328 posts)And the super delegates are going to confirm that result. As far as the campaign is convinced, it's over. There is no more primary campaign. Perhaps there's a slim possibility of an exogenous event, but there isn't anything left for the campaign.

I'm not sure whether you even realize that pretending that the sixteen million people who voted for Hillary do not exist is offensive. It is not Hillary who is expecting to be "crowned" against the wishes of the people; it is Bernie.

(10,476 posts)Probably not...or at best, unconscious bias on the part of the artist.
The party base isn't what the Bernie fans think it is, unfortunately; I'm sure the point will be completely lost on them, but persons of color have had a crucial hand in nominating the last two Democratic nominees.

(4,187 posts)Unless your goal is to elect President Trump, you should remove that extremely offensive cartoon from your OP. It discounts the voices of the sixteen million people who have voted for HRC and want her to be president of this country. The fact that you and a bunch of other people support BS does not mean the rest of us who support HRC do not exist or do not matter. You are not more important, or more legitimate, or more Democratic, or more liberal than we are just because you support BS.
Please edit your post and remove that cartoon.
