Election eve jitters - Hello Northeast DUers

Hello DUers:

Are there DUers from Northeast here? How is NJ and NY and PA. I hear power is still out and lot of places are really bad. Is this going to result in low turnout and cause some issues?

Thank you for the info.

I can tell you that everything that can be done to keep Sandy from depressing turnout has been and is being done.

In NJ, they're using paper in every precinct that has no electricity, they're allowing people to vote via email or fax. They're doing everything they can to insure that everybody who wants to vote and is registered can.

In NY, Governor Cuomo signed an order this afternoon allowing any NYS voter to vote at any polling location in the state along with a handful of other measures to insure the ability of people to vote.

PA and CT mostly are cleaned-up and power has been restored in most places...voting should not be substantially impacted by the aftermath of Sandy.

NJ polls in blacked outareas being moved to pars of towns with power.Much of state has power restored and most still without power are more rural areas. Thethe shore counties most heavily affected are republican strongholds. I look for somewhat smaller than usual turnout but large obama and menendez victories.
