2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI am not responsible for how you vote, nor are you responsible for how I vote
I supported Hillary in 08, and when she lost, a lot of Obama supporters were less than gracious, a lot of them were super gracious, and a lot of them were just glad to be over the fucking primary.
I voted for Obama because his policies most closely mirrored the ones I believed in. I voted for him, because it was the right thing to do. I voted for him for a million other reasons too.
I was smart enough then to know that random Du'ers who I have never met, do not actually know the real identities of, and often disagree with are not responsible for my vote. And I am smart enough now to know, that I do not actually influence your vote. If you choose not to vote for Hillary because of something I said, you are just using me as an excuse.
I do not let a bunch of random people on the internet influence my vote. I am sure you don't either.
If you say you do, I think you are just using me as excuse to do what you really anyway wanted to do.

I can't believe some folks used that as an excuse not to vote for Hillary or Bernie.
One is not voting for the supporters.
I found that arguement to be so silly.
Not really sure if this is on topic, but just wanted to share.
