No, Bernie Sanders Didn't Enter a Rally to a Homophobic DMX Song

No, Bernie Sanders Didn't Enter a Rally to a Homophobic DMX Song

In what may be one of the most confusing episodes featuring an allegedly doctored video from this already very weird nominating contest, the Bernie Sanders campaign is staunchly denying that the senator entered a rally to an extremely homophobic DMX song in California earlier this week. The reports began on Thursday, when a video popped up on YouTube and Twitter that appeared to show Sanders entering a rally in California to DMX’s Where the Hood At?...

...Except none of it actually happened, according to the Sanders campaign. “Never thought I'd have to say this, but no @BernieSanders did not walk out to a #DMX song in Lancaster earlier this week,” Sanders’ press secretary wrote on Twitter.

Warren Gill, another Sanders spokesperson, also denied the song was used. “Someone ripped the music from this video and placed it over Sanders’ entrance,” Gill told the Washington Blade.

Other videos from that rally also don’t seem to have any DMX music playing. And the campaign provided its own clip to prove its point...

Where the poster was attempting to insult the Sanders supporter who argued with Bill Clinton about NAFTA. This post implies that the Sanders supporter is ignorant because GHW Bush signed NAFTA (which is a lie).

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=2058605

Here is a picture of Bill Clinton signing NAFTA into law, after pushing it through Congress.

So it's clear that Clinton supporters and even senior campaign staff are willing to lie and deceive.

the perpetrator wants on a new video that is attempting to smear Bernie. The video without music contains crowd cheering throughout his entrance, no music, and then Bernie speaking. One simply needs to fade up additional music over this and then fade it down or even just cut it off.

I never thought Bernie is/was perfect and if something happened, like this, I believe he has earned the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't sure if there was a mix up and it was true, at first, but if it was, I would have expected a sincere apology and reprimands to the party/s responsible. The man has a career of integrity on his side and, in my eyes, deserves the chance to explain. Unfortunately Secretary Clinton has not earned that benefit and, quite to the contrary, any explanation would be seen with skepticism. Where Bernie has a history of integrity she has a history of tap dancing around the truth and doubling down on misspoken words. Sorry if that is seen as wrong by anyone but just being a Democrat doesn't mean ones own merits mean nothing.

Not a coincidence, imo.

"One of the few things I really haven't enjoyed about this primary: I think it's fine that all these young students have been so enthusiastic for her opponent and (he) sounds so good: 'Just shoot every third person on Wall Street and everything will be fine,'" Clinton said at an event in Fort Washington, New York. He pointed to fewer people working on Wall Street since the Dodd-Frank Act was passed as proof that financial reforms that his wife supports are effective.

What a calumny to make against such a vast number of young committed people. And so many applauded it. Because it's OK when it's done to young supporters of Sanders.
