Sanders Aide Says Backchannel Talks Starting on Trump Debate

“There’s starting to be some backchannel discussions,” Bernie Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver says on MSNBC about hypothetical debate between Democrat Sanders and Republican Donald Trump.

“I hope that his handlers don’t dissuade and chicken out on this. It would be great for the American people to see these two candidates on stage,” Weaver says

And they think by leaking that there are "back channel discussions" going on, it will pressure Clinton to agree to debate Sanders.


It's as sly and cunning as a 4 year old saying "mom said I can have a candy bar but said you have to agree as well, dad" and then going and doing the same thing with mom.
