Oregonians, re: new Repug voting fraud case, how do we best leave ballot choice blank?

A clerk in the Clackamas county elections office has just been arrested for filling in spots left blank on ballots by marking the Republican candidate. (link at bottom)

Now, I didn't leave any partisan ballot choices blank, but I did leave some non-partisan ones blank on my ballot. At the time I was wondering what was the best way to mark "no choice" in such instances, so no one else could mark my ballot for me. However, now that we know that a Republican voting clerk has been doing this on a large scale, I think the word should get out. One doesn't want one's entire ballot put in the questionable pile.

:: should we vote for more than one candidate?

:: cross out that race with an X?

:: (added on edit) write-in a your own name or "none of the above"

I'd be more concerned about your ballot being thrown out than somebody filling in empty races.

a quick google of their name will bring up their endorsements.

after seeing this happen so close to home, I will never leave any race blank again.

this should be an option added to all races:

O I choose not to vote in this race

I usually don't vote in the non-contested races (but did this time if the candidates were listed as democrat - want to send a message.), but would appreciate a way to say that this was a deliberate choice.

Remember "Lizard People" during the Coleman/Franken recount?

Write in your own name if you can't vote for anyone else.

On the other hand, I made the mistake of doing that for Democratic County Committee in 2001, and won. I have not been able to escape since. Maybe it's safer not to do so.

In fact I posted a picture of one of those ballots on Facebook with the caption: "Friends don't let friends vote for Lizard People".
