Open Letter to Hillary: Great effort, but its time to withdraw and support The Bern

Let me explain.

Hillary has raised a lot of money and supporters, but the upcoming election is too important to lose to the republicans led by Trump (but the argument would be the same regardless of which horrible republican runs the party). The next President is going to fill at least 2 supreme court positions, have to lead on climate change, deal with increasingly deadly attacks from terrorists, and deal with a crumbling world, and many other challenges. The middle class is being decimated and if a republican wins, it will be further eroded as more wealth is transferred to trump and his friends. A republican will also erode the benefits of Obamacare, and instead of fixing flaws and bringing in universal healthcare, the republicans are going to roll it back. Forget about the progressive angle of recreational drugs and even medical marijuana.

I may not get everything from Bernie, but he's going to do 85-90% of what I'd like and most importantly, we will not have a republican in office.

The important thing for me is to ensure we don't lose the next election and that we immediately start focusing our attention and money in defeating the republican candidate. So Hillary, for the good of the progressive left, for liberals, for everything you have purportedly fought for in your life, do not further divide our party - please resign. Endorse Bernie, but at the very least don't hurt him anymore.

Let's do the math. You're still about 70 pledged delegates away from winning the nomination. It's worse if you remove the super delegates from the picture. And you're only three million votes ahead of Bernie. With your limited foreign and government experience you may not be able to get things done.

So for the good of everything you have ever felt is important. Please withdraw and support your opponent (or don't, but stop trying to hurt the Democrats). Did I say Open Letter to Hillary? Sorry, I meant Bernie.

Remember that HRC is the inevitable candidate. Inevitable in the root sense.
