Obama Manager Accuses Clintons of Dirty Politics in Nevada

A statement from David Plouffe:

“We currently have reports of over 200 separate incidents of trouble at caucus sites, including doors being closed up to thirty minutes early, registration forms running out so people were turned away, and ID being requested and checked in a non-uniform fashion. This is in addition to the Clinton campaign’s efforts to confuse voters and call into question the at-large caucus sites which clearly had an affect on turnout at these locations. These kinds of Clinton campaign tactics were part of an entire week’s worth of false, divisive, attacks designed to mislead caucus-goers and discredit the caucus itself."

Plouffe asks Nevadans to call a toll-free number, (866) 675-2008, and report any other problems.

2008

I actually participated in the caucus in northern NV (Reno) in 2008. It was at a local elementary school and the Clinton supporters were white, working class and angry, kind of like the 2016 Bernie supporters.

I'm AA and my hubby is European-American. One of the Clinton supporters even said loud enough so I could hear. Well we know who she's voting for. I laughed and pointed to my husband and said yep we're voting for the same person. She gave me a dirty look and kept it moving.

We were prepared for the chaos because we had read up the process. it was a lot of fun and very long.

Obama won our caucus. We were happy but did not gloat because we were just one site. It is one of our best political process memories and we were so happy that we got to do it together.

We're in CA now so we have a primary coming up June 7th. We are going w/ HRC
