Did the Kochs just commit a felony?

I just got a phone call from "Americans for prosperity". They were just "polling" don't you know. The first question was President Obama and Joe Donnelly supported a massive auto bailout and stimulus program. To you think this was helpful or harmful to America?"

I answered "Helpful" lady promptly hung up, but not before I told her to enjoy the election next week and tell David Koch I said hello.

However, I wish I would have answered "harmful". Obviously they aren't calling to find out how I feel. They are calling as part of a GOTV effort. I am certain that if I had answered "harmful" they would have proceeded to make sure I was planning to vote and see if they could help that.

My question is whether that sort of campaigning is legal for Super-PACs. I thought they were only allowed to do "issue advocacy".

They are hiding behind their corporate liability shields. Someone else will take the fall for them.

but they can't coordinate with candidates, which makes it much less effective.

I could understanding a GOTV for a policy referendum, but there is no such referendum on our ballot. This was all about GOTV for the teabagger, Mourdock. I don't think that is allowable under the tax code.

And when the recording started, it was none other than Mike Huckabee!
I started laughing, in part because it sounded like he said Mike Cockabee, then the line went dead.

If they're giving us rides (while we're voting for Dems), they aren't giving actual GOP voters rides!
