Real players get back up after they take a hit. That is WHY Hillary Clinton is winning tonight. Because she didn't quit that time she lost. Think about it.....

(11,243 posts)Y'all go on and on and on about how she changes her position all the time and how icky that is. But now you know you can push her to change.
FYI, many politicians WANT you to make them do things. They need the political cover that activists give them. MLK and Civil Rights forced LBJ. Anti-war pushed the narrative on Vietnam. #BLM is forcing the media and politicians to talk about police brutality and systemic racism. And, slowly, they are forcing the politicians to take some action.
Why can't berners do the same?
No one is going to do this for you. Waiting for DNC or any politician (even Bernie Sanders) to save you is a waste of time. You need to make them. Sounds trite, but you need to be the change.

(11,243 posts)compared to the GOP. For instance, Sanders wants $15 minimum wage, Clinton wants $12, GOP wants to abolish it completely. But whatever. Have fun cutting off your nose despite your face!
This post is a prime example of why no one takes Sanders supporters seriously. Many of you won't work for what you believe in, and you don't vote consistently.
they do not agree or war/regime change, disastrous trade agreements and corporate hegemony.

(23,156 posts)Nor do the many Democrats who rightly do not trust her in the least.
Pretty soon now we'll see Hillary backing down from a lot of the things Bernie pushed her to: She'll come out firmly in support of a $12/hour minimum wage, phased in over the next ten years. Forgiveness of student loans only after they've been paying on them for 25 years. A freeze on the Social Security COLA, because otherwise there will be no way to pay for her endless wars. And raising of the age on SS to 68, maybe 70. Actually, the real thing for everyone to fear with SS is that they raise the minimum age to collect above 62.
Let's see, what else? More of the ACA will be controlled by the insurance companies, and we'll see the thing about pre-existing conditions rolled back. Taxes on the super wealthy being further lowered.
And all of the Hillarybots will be completely mystified when these things happen. "How could we POSSIBLY have known?" they'll wail. Well, all you had to do was look at her record, look at what she did and said over the years.

(37,748 posts)Much as Messiah was applied to Pres. Obama by RW idiots, the very same is done in regards to Clinton with coronation. Simply another unsupported allegation lacking any reasonable or rational thought, but rather illustrating little more than petulant tantrums and ill-tempted resentment.
However, I'm certain you'll draw a most creative distinction between the peevishness of the GOP and your own, most righteous taunting. I look forward to it...

(8,311 posts)Hillary isn't a perfect candidate. There ARE no perfect candidates. Even Bernie is a politician. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but none of our politicians are going to walk on water (and if they do, I'll be searching their resume for going to illusion school long before I bow down).
But sadly for those who have worked their heart out for him, the math for Bernie to get a pledged delegate lead when the voting is over isn't looking good.
Bernie would rather have Hillary than Trump or Cruz. Hillary would rather have Bernie rather than Trump or Cruz.
I know what I'm getting. A politician. But not one who wants to control my body, take my rights along with just about every other group in this country that isn't WASM, deport millions, or obsessed with the size of her genitals enough to sue someone who parodied her body (I saw enough jokes about "HFC specials" in the 90s growing up, but Trump wants to sue for painting him as a grower instead of a shower? Wow).

(23,590 posts)If in fact Bernie Sanders has built this great movement, with "millions" of supporters. Put it to work. Regardless who the nominee is or who ends up being President, get active. Support your local candidates for city council, state reps, governors, congress. Heck run yourself if you feel the system needs changing. No better way than to change from within and from the bottom up.
It takes hard work and commitment to steer a government as big as ours to go in the direction we want it to go.
So now it's on Bernie to grow his movement, set something up nationally so you can get the kind of candidates in office that will support Bernie's agenda and put pressure on state and federal legislators.
But unfortunately just like all those new young voters who rallied for Obama and then didn't stick around for the hard work, or vote in the mid-terms, they left him high and dry. I fear the same will happen with Bernie and his flock. He'll go back to the senate to live out his days pushing legislation that won't go anywhere, and all those revolutionaries will just walk away, because, well, it's hard work.
Jester Messiah
(4,711 posts)Also, I voted for Obama both times, and in the mid-terms as well. Sadly, I'm left to wonder just exactly what it was I voted for, when Obama himself stands up against breaking up the banks, and nominates Republicans to the SCOTUS. What the hell is even the point of this party anymore?

I'm too actually liberal to fall for that shite. No, she won't be a liberal president. That takes a liberal person with liberal values, and a liberal record. Not a liberal when I'm campaigning and bury everything else I've done record.
She'll be a dangerous neocon. Google her on Iran. I expect an Iran war within a year of her taking office. Google her on Nuking Iran. I hope the defense department fights her tooth and nail to not let her get away with her bloody first impulses that can easily compete with Trumps. Google Hillary nukes and iran. She aint no liberal.
