Why is NPR claiming falsely Romney is leading "the polls"

The lady that is hosting NPR's All Things Considered started her politics segment by saying 'Gov Romney is ahead in many polls' and the Atlantic's James Fallow agreed. I am liike 'WTF. Pres Obama is ahead in 8 of 11 polls just today. Again WTF.

the news programs.

But yes, the Rethugs really screwed CPB - both NPR and PBS big-time under Bush II.

all the other shows stink. Although one of our local Wisconsin Public Radio shows with Kathleen Dunn, is pretty good, she's still a little tilted toward the liberal side, and I do enjoy her program. Always give when she's on. She's great.

Don't know why but they always think Gallup is important. It was 20th in accuracy in 2008. IBD was 14

And unfortunately that means it's going to get a lot of attention from both the media and the general public.

superficially. No nuance. Just the numbers. I would feel a hell of a lot better if Obama was ahead in every poll.

was prepared. The media can say whatever they want, they can't beat the math. The base can worry all it wants, can't beat the math. The wingnuts can break down national polls into an imminent Romney tsunami, can't beat the math. I was worried for a little bit that Obama hasn't been trying to dominate the news cycle, but the more polls and early votes come out the more I understand. Can't beat the math. He is the smartest man in the room, people.

You really should write to NPR to complain. Really, really. I did

I enjoy your show. Your Saturday segment erred, though. Romney is not ahead of President Obama in the nationwide polls, or statewide races for that matter.
Thank you
