I used to receive a lot of anti-Obama, right-wing spammy garbage from friends

and relatives. Every possible put-down and anti-democratic thought that was out there would be sent to me. I have received no such mail from any of them since republicans have put forth their candidates. No wise, sarcastic or crapola from Fox even. Of course,the are embarrassed but would never admit it.

With all of the opportunities I've had to slam them left and right I have not indulged. I probably should have but to be honest, to me it would be a waste of time. They would spin it whatever way they could have. St. Ronnie and Dubya are their golden boys. I was just wondering if you have any right-winged people who are no longer filling your e-mail box with their propaganda. Maybe they didn't like my responses (many of which I gleaned from right here at DU)..

come to think of it the stream of fecal matter, has slowed dramatically.. just a few Jesus posts ..i didn't respond to him, at all as i looked at it as a window to see what they were up too.. last time i saw him face to face he kind of apologized for sending the stuff.. i replied that it was fine..i consider the source..

I don't ever get emails, but I have relatives and old school folks on Facebook that used to post things, and I can't remember the last time I saw something from them. It's been quiet

4. I used to get them all the time

But they started dropping off while Bush was still in office as they realized I had always been right about him. Even the most persistent ones stopped because I would reply back to ALL (including the non-active addresses that appear as text in the email body that a lot of people don't delete) and would systematically destroy each point they were trying to make. And after that, the relatives who would send that crap out would leave me off the list, but my mom would forward the latest crap and tell me, "Do what you normally do with this and tell them how it is."

Me too.

I'll see some attack against Obama in my email, framed from the right wing perspective ... and then soon after, see it on DU, re-framed in a fashion which seems to be an attempt to discourage democrats.

12. I'm seeing a lot less of it, too. The only place I get it

is on Facebook, from some in-laws. I won't unfriend them, because I see them from time to time. I just don't respond to that stuff. But, they've slowed way down with it recently.
