What have you heard in the last few days on msnbc that you can believe? I am not accusing them of lying, but I do accuse them of exaggeration, deflection, deliberately leaving out information, narrowness of focus, and lack of journalism ethics.

No more. The lengths of the segments tend to be way out of proportion to their depth (i.e., it takes them five times too long to communicate whatever it is they're talking about). Of course there are exceptions, but usually after an hour I haven't learned more than five or ten minutes' worth of information.

Which makes it all the sadder to lose Al Jazeera. Oh, I am so upset about that.

I also agree that watching 10 minutes of any of the MSNBC political commentators is about all a sane person can stand. Rachel in particular drives me batty with her explaining and repeating whatever point she is trying to make five or six times to drag the segment out.

... there are so many other news sources that we're able to stream on our Roku device. PBS NewsHour is our new go-to source. Also BBC World News (streaming and live) and SkyNews (streaming only) are fantastic ways to get more details, more facts, and less hype.
