Freepers are WORRIED

So I spent a little time at our favorite freeper site and I'll be damned - with all the handwringing here and concern and anxiety I figured the other side has managed to get folks here spooked. Imagine my surprise to find that they are pretty damned freaked out, too. Spouting the same paranoia Dems are and also ignoring the reality of the race.

One way to gauge how enthused the freepers are is to see how active certain threads are. I'll be doubled damned I had to scroll and scroll to find a halfway decent election thread. Not a good sign. Instead there're various CT threads and non-election related craziness. Wha? And what little election posts I could find were, wait for it, not very enthusiastic. WTF? These are the fire-breathing boogeypeople who are going to eat your votes and storm the polls?

OH, IA, NV, CO, NC, FL, WI, MI, PA, NH are what we should be focused on.
And those are the States we are focused on and because of the 6pt lead, we are leading or tied in most, if not all of them.

Fl. has already been conceded by the Democrats.

NC is a lock

It's like opposite world! Good luck with that IA and NV and WI and PA dreamin'

ohio and pennsyl are not lost
rr is close and momentum is moving our way
i think he ends up w/ both - but he can with without winning them both.
wis, mich are in the same boat. close and moving romney’s way.
even in washington - closer by the day.
Cali and ny will go 0dumbo but not by much.

PA, WI, MI...WASHINGTON?

Men will retaliate against 2008 by voting this year, in a big way.

Yeah, that'll do it. Of Mitt and Men!

PPP is over sampling women in all their polls.

Can't vote if you're home cookin'. Arithmutik.

FR is all over the place on Ohio. Some, like you, believe that Obama had Ohio in the bag. Others, stating the misaligned polls coming out, state that Ohio is currently in Romney’s column. I am with those who have no idea how Ohio is going to vote.

What kind of Trollery is this?

PPP = Progressive P!$$ Party

Guess we can all agree on something!

From what I can discern, Ø is on track to win OH, PA, etc. and put him over the top in EVs, despite losing the national vote by a wide margin.

Holy Shit! What!!! Did this freeper explode after typing?!!! How did that post get in there?! I thought they had ways
of shutting things down!!!

So there're your boogeymen(and women) folks. THEY ARE SCARED. They are passing around delusional projections of victory while many here are doing the same with defeat. But they ARE SCARED. All they can do is unskew the polls because they know things don't look good.

TIME TO SWEEP THE LEG or BEAT THE DRUM or SLICE THE ICE or whatever Karate Kid reference works for you.

that they will have health care and that their Social Security won't get stolen. They are worried that their job won't be outsourced, that they'll keep their house and car. yes, indeed, things don't look good.

when they are revved up it's easy to tell. What I found was surprisingly tepid. Perhaps it's the late hour but frankly they seem very nervous and stretching to make claims to victory, whereas here folks are just giving up/giving in at every poll even though there is so much established data to show otherwise. It shows they really get how unlikely a Romney win is, but Dems just can't seem to grasp that. Maybe it's because Dems tend to believe media spin more than they do, despite claims to the contrary.

And it's nearly six hours after you wrote this, so I can say for sure that it isn't the late hour that led to this conclusion.

Even if the polls are accurate (and I have serious doubts), Obama is leading in the Swing States, but not in the south. We never planned on winning the south (and I'm in Texas), so that's fine by me. We want what works, not what's implausible. We want the Swing States.

Nice post!

If that happens, do you think the Republicans would engineer an impeachment (assuming they keep the House, of course)?

then they will impeach Obama under any circumstances. I think we ought to just assume so and prepare for it.

11. They SHOULD be worried. This election is the beginning of the end for the Republican Party

The Southern Strategy falls apart once Obama gets his 2nd term.
That coalition of bigots, warmongers, all around mean-spirits & greedy rich folks can no longer exceed 50% or possibly 40% of national elections anymore.
They're maxed out & the opposite coalition under the Democratic Party umbrella gets bigger everyday.

That's why I was so confident about my prediction in my thread ELECTION SPOILER: Obama wins in a LANDSLIDE.
I'm looking at destiny here.
I'm looking at the demographic trends.
I'm looking at the level of Obama's competition.

They're done. And they know it.
They SHOULD be worried.
This is the last time the Republicans can win national elections in their current state.
And that's just it. They CAN'T win.

They'll have to change their coalition makeup which takes time (and keeps them away from the White House in the meantime) or they'll have to implode as their existing coalition gets weaker with every new election.

It's OVER. At last.

I must take issue with this comment: "Cali and ny will go 0dumbo but not by much."

not by much? not by much? My guess is that this one bumped his head before typing. That's like one of us typing, Robme will take Utah and Oklahoma, but not by much.

media. They have an entire parallel network of wingnut news sites that they go to. LOL, I don't think Dems realize the depth to which the wingnuts live in a parallel universe. It's a huge web of alternate information. However the polls can only be spun so much. So that's what's starting to sink in...
