Thank you South Carolina- you motivated me

Wow. I am impressed. A few days ago, I posted a thread about us volunteering in swing states and calling their senators. I do not think I received too many encouraging responses. But, I just returned from South Carolina and what did I find? Many in South Carolina are helping in North Carolina because they think it is a swing state and South Carolina is a goner. I was very humbled. I was merely logging in DU but these guys were really working hard. Quietly and without much fanfare. "Volunteer 4 hours for 4 more years," they say. Even a local state lawmaker was volunteering in NC.

I am pumped. I saw an NBC poll this morning. It is tied 47-47 but Obama will smack Romney 49-44 if all voters came out. One thing is clear. If all registered voters vote, Romney has no prayer. I hope we do all we can to push people in swing states to go to polls somehow. I am going to do all I can. Prove the theory of enthusiasm gap wrong.

I don't think most republicans even like Romney. But they seem to hate Obama, so that is good enough for them. Which is why I think Romney is like teflon - it's not him they are really voting for.

Many of my pro-Obama neighbors are going over to NC to work for Obama since TN is also a goner for RMoney.
