Trump Rally has NO right to kick out protestors! It's a state university...

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by tammywammy (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

The University of Illinois IS A PUBLIC university. What a STUPID move to have protestors removed. After the Rally was Cancelled, now a bunch of Drumpfucks to massively exit toward the THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE who are there to protest against them.

WRONG!!! STUPID!!!

I'm watching this whole thing unfold on Al Jazeera America.

Most of the protestors seen are anti-muslim. Non rushed the stage. When the rally was cancelled, they all cheered.

Trump supporters were stunned at first, then turned into noisy verbal insult. There was one sign that I saw for Bernie, but come on...

They have a RIGHT to protest. They are also non-violent in what they are doing. Walking through with a sign in protest is what I call NON-VIOLENT.

I don't plan on being enticed by your statement, since it has nothing to do with what this thread is about.

Emotions are running so high on both sides, I can't even imagine Trump being able to hold a rally anywhere unless it is in small towns, which aren't really his areas.

I also find it unbelievable that Chris M. doesn't remember how "W" controlled this stuff! I REMEMBER! Shrub had PENS for the protesters, most of the time several blocks away from his appearance. Hell, his drivers were directed to take a route where
Shrub wouldn't even have to SEE any protestors. I thought it was BS at the time and still do.

I don't know what the answer is. Obviously you can't just let anyone enter who wants in, but corralling them in PENS isn't the answer either.

... and that's exactly what these protestors had. They had tickets... Once they started protesting, there was a call for them to be removed...

THAT WAS THEIR FIRST MISTAKE. A ticketed, non-violent person inside a public university at a public event SHALL NOT BE REMOVED BY LAW.

He indirectly incites violence against any quiet
protester, and the mob mentality takes over and
executes that violence.

History should teach us, what this can lead to.

Police officers holding back the anti-Trump protestors...

They are just making a peaceful protest process be blamed for something that was their doing. I'm not sure shutting down the Rally was the best move.
