Need help and input from DU'ers

I'm seeing factcheckers and RR supporters saying Biden lied about his vote for the Iraq & Afghanistan wars-- that he did vote for them. But I'm wondering if the vote for the resolutions was separate from any vote for funding (putting the costs on credit)? Does anyone know and have links to what the truth is? Overall, I think Biden stuck it to Ryan! Great debate on his part!

Biden did indeed vote for the both Wars...However he never said he didn't last night. What he said was that Ryan voted to put 2 wars on the nation's credit card, which he did. The right wing nuts are doing their usual spinning. Biden was pointing out the hypocrisy of Ryan's claim to being a fiscal conservative.

Here's a list of the Democratic Senators who voted against the Iraq War Resolution....I haven't bothered to look for the Afghanistan resolution.

*** 21 (42%) of 50 Democratic senators voted against the resolution: Sens. Akaka (D-HI), Bingaman (D-NM), Boxer (D-CA), Byrd (D-WV), Conrad (D-ND), Corzine (D-NJ), Dayton (D-MN), Durbin (D-IL), Feingold (D-WI), Graham (D-FL), Inouye (D-HI), Kennedy (D-MA), Leahy (D-VT), Levin (D-MI), Mikulski (D-MD), Murray (D-WA), Reed (D-RI), Sarbanes (D-MD), Stabenow (D-MI), Wellstone (D-MN), and Wyden (D-OR)***

justification to their differences about debt, based upon the "justifications" for that war that Biden would not have accepted had he voted against it. Biden DID vote for the War, so his point about the War Debt is more weighty, since Ryan couldn't say, TTE, "You never approved of the war anyway, so your point about debt incurred by the war means less."

This shows the power of inviting self-critique.

So Biden voted for the war resolutions and not to put the funding on credit? Does anyone have a link to the separate votes, ie resolution vs. funding the war (on credit)? I want to get this right so I can counter what the RR supporters are saying. If this is true, people need to be contacting fact checkers also and distinguishing the difference.
