2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumQuestion about something Chuck Todd said regarding the polls...
He said one yellow flag in Ohio for the Obama team is that his job approval is at 47% but the "ballot test" is at 51%. He said those numbers are supposed to match. So he said he does not know if that means that Obama is over performing on the ballot test. He said if he is then that leads to an opening in Ohio for Romney. Is that true? Or is Chuck just pulling something out of his butt to make the Ohio numbers look better for Romney?

(5,005 posts)the fact that the president's approval number is higher than the people who said they would vote for him? I guess he is saying that is an opportunity for Romney to gain some ground because people that approve of the job that he is doing are still not saying they will vote for him. Now that I think about it I do wonder why people would say he is doing a good job but not say that they will vote for him? Strange. Regardless, I agree that Chuck Todd was just looking for something negative to talk about because Romney did not get the HUGE bounce that they expected after the media pounded on his debate performance for over a week. He seemed stunned that 90% of the people said that the debate did not impact their decision.
