"If gas is at $2.50 a gallon, Obama wins", pundit on MSNBC today

I don't know the person's name. The pundit predicted if gas is $2.50 a gallon and unemployment is under 8 percent Obama will win easily.

This is nonsense. The only way gas goes to $2.50 a gallon again is if the economy tanks big time.

Oil goes up when there is demand. Like during a booming economy. When the economy tanks, demand for oil is low.

...demand has little to do with it...or can you explain why the gas prices were so high last year and the year before when the economy was still sucking wind but now that the economy has picked up the price has come down...??

Prices came down the last two years and they are on the rise again in California.

Gas prices are on the rise. Trend this month.

Gas is already around 3.70 ... and unemployment is 8.5 ... and Obama is STILL crushing the GOP idiots in the polls ... oddly, the Liberal MSNBC host did not point that out to the dope.

18. So, Obama wins if he embraces Mexico style socialism to encourage our addiction to oil?

So, Obama wins if he starts to subsidize oil like Mexico, where it's capped at $98 a barrel, or $2.33 a gallon? And where the government pays the difference if it's higher then $98 a barrel?
