Related: About this forumI found a BIG LIE in the foreign policy speech Romney plans to give on Monday
The released excerpts of Romney's speech are HERE: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/08/romney-to-deliver-foreign-policy-speech/
Here's one excerpt:
I will champion free trade and restore it as a critical element of our strategy, both in the Middle East and across the world. The President has not signed one new free trade agreement in the past four years. I will reverse that failure. I will work with nations around the world that are committed to the principles of free enterprise, expanding existing relationships and establishing new ones.
That is a LIE.

(4,551 posts)When does a speech by Romney NOT contain a lie? That is the question.
The man is a pathological liar. He is a sociopath.
And since he just received glowing accolades for lying throughout last week's debate, why not keep lying?
Ted Kennedy realized it back in 1994 when he took on Romney - you have to put his lies down forcefully.

(4,551 posts)By bringing up proof of the lies, just as was done in the OP of this thread.
That will demonstrate to the public that Romney is STILL lying only days after the debate and reinforce that narrative.

(36,974 posts)Four Key Areas Where Romneys New Foreign Policy Is Identical To Obama
Mitt Romney, who has had trouble differentiating his foreign policy agenda from President Obamas, gave a speech at the Virginia Military Institute that was designed to draw a contrast between his position and the Presidents. Despite some sharp rhetorical criticism, however, Romney failed to develop new policy ideas that were meaningfully distinguishable from current Administration policy. The lack of meaningful difference was particularly evident on four issues:

4. Free trade. Romney, arguing that The President has not signed one new free trade agreement in the past four years, pledged to increase a push toward trade agreements. Obama has signed new free trade agreements with South Korea, Panama, and Colombia, and Romney didnt specify what new agreements would be passed in a Romney Administration.
