I took every word he said out of his mouth as a lie. That's what you need to do with Romney. Take every word he says as a lie. Romney is the biggest flip flopper I ever saw. How can anyone believe any word he says anyway.

When one is at the top few are willing to call that person out.

Face it, everything you've heard out of the Gov't since at least the beginning of WWII has been a lie. For the people who believe those lies, that is the absolute truth- if their Gov't is lying to them, who could they possibly trust after that?

In short, the bar is INCREDIBLY low. Mitt Romney probably loves it- he can say the sky is purple, and it's Obama's fault...and people would agree!

5. End of debates

I would suspect that this might be the end of presidential debates.

In theory, why would a sitting president debate a candidate/challenger that has the freedom to lie, not only about their stated position, but also about the actual record of the incumbent.

As the president, you have to respect your position, authority and what you represent. With a challenger such as Mitt - where he lies more than he tells the truth - you are by definition at a disadvantage with the low information voter.

So, why give the challenger a forum?

Lets me honest, the vast majority of the population has made up their minds. These debates are just an opportunity for a liar to lie - and then the incumbent is in the position of having to rely on fact checkers to reaffirm reality. Who is impacted and believes the lies - those that are least informed of the facts.

The Party Platforms should be what they used to be. (I think.) The written, thus accountable, political and governing statement of the party who wants to govern. Then, both the candidate and the party are thusly judged.

An addendum...what I was thinking as I saw quickly what was happening, who would want this hyper car salesman to represent us at the G-20? And I just read he STOLE all his Massachusetts government hard drives et al and replaced them at $100,000 bill to the public.

as he can only go up while Romney can and will go down. Remember, his so called present stance is well-documented, as of the first debate, so now the President needs to call him out on his so called now moderate stance versus the conservative he claimed to be all year, his constant flip flopping, and lies. Yes, he put all his cards on the table, so gave the President a lot to work with. It's how is he going to use this to flip the script on Romney. He needs to come at him and call him out like Ted Kennedy did. How is Romney going to convince the Independents that his entire year-long campaign has not been a lie when he is now running, as a moderate??
