http://debate2012.du.edu/media/documents/coloradovoterspoll.pdfThis is a reputable poll, performed by Selzer and Company, and not some poll by a guy with a robocaller in his mom's basement.

(2,921 posts)That's more like it.
Gravis Marketing is an outlier, and should be permanently ignored, or assigned D+15 on top of whatever Rmoney is polling and get the real number.
The polls will continue to go up.
I take any survey from DU's (well, both here and our little college in Denver) website seriously. Not some random moron who has oversampled the R's intentionally.

(22,000 posts)Ok, I'll get my mind out of the gutter.
Seriously though, a 60/40 advantage with African Americans, that's the type of delusion that would take a serious amount of pills.

(33,497 posts)This study, conducted for the University of Denver by Selzer & Co. of Des Moines, Iowa, is based on interviews
with 712 Colorado residents ages 18 or older. Interviewers contacted respondents using lists of random-digit
numbers for both landline and cell phones. Responses were adjusted by age, race, and educational attainment to
reflect the general population based on recent Census data.
Questions based on a subsample of 604 likely voters have a maximum margin of error of plus or minus 4.0
percentage points. This means that if this survey were repeated using the same questions and the same
methodology, 19 times out of 20, the findings would not vary from the percentages shown here by more than
plus or minus 4.0 percentage points. Results based on smaller samples of respondentssuch as by gender or
agehave a larger margin of error.
To qualify as likely Colorado voters, respondents had to say they live in Colorado and would definitely vote in
the November 2012 election.
The survey was conducted October 4th and 5th, 2012, with interviews lasting approximately 18 minutes.

This was the first poll taken 100% post-debate.

(74 posts)I live in Colorado and unfortunately this poll has not shown its face yet on any Colorado news outlets. Why you ask? Most all the news stations still use the word liberal when describing democrats negatively. I have a co-worker that said to me yesterday " I know Romney is a big liar but i cant vote for a socialist, who is a Muslim." She goes on to say that Romney cares for the middle class, and Obama will rake the middle class over the coals. I know it was hard for me to listen to this, but then I thought of our President and how he was able to listen to a million lies and not strike back in last debate. Anyway while she was on this rant a customer heard her and said she had the right to believe what she wanted, but for god sake wake the fuck up. The customer was a 65 year old on oxygen she explained her medical condition and said she relied on medicare and social security. So at this point my co-worker looks at her and says call it what you will its socialism.
Now some background on the naysayer.... she has a child that has major health problems and is excited about Obama-care. I told her that was Obama that did that hence the name. Here is the kicker........."No Romney was the one that created Obama-care." I just turned around and walked away with a smile on my face.
This is what Colorado has to face.

Only right-wing nuts believe that. Why work somewhere like that?

(74 posts)Yea its bad at the place I work but I will move on it's a horrible job anyway. I had to take this job to help my parents out so i'm glad they are doing better. I can now leave those morons behind. The place also told me I had to take a pay cut because things were so bad now. I was like but things are getting better, the owner pushed his head in and said what world are you living in. I know things are better but these people are everywhere here sorry to say. I have faith Obama will do good come November I have even volunteered here in Colorado got to do my part.
Thank You DU for listening to my complaints.
