Gallup Job Approval Rating: Obama's 2nd day at highest levels since 2009

Approve = 52%
Disapprove = 43%

http://www.gallup.com/home.aspx?ref=logo

Granted, yesterday's poll had him at 54% (his highest since October 2009), but this 52% rating is his highest since December 2009, so it's still nothing to sneeze at.

Keep in mind this is Gallup's 3-day rolling poll, for the days Oct. 2-4. So it DOES include the day after the debate.

However, since it doesn't include a response to today's good job numbers, perhaps the number will go higher in the days ahead!

3. Is it 3 days or 7 days?

Usually Gallup is a 7-day tracker I thought.

I think Rasmussen is a 3-day tracker.

But Obama has 50%+ in both of them, so it's still good news one way or the other.

4. It is a 7 day poll.

But Obama was plus one against Romney today. I day of post debate polling and he went up one point. If Romney goes up 2 or 3 points the next few days then Obama will still have the lead.

And the approval rating is very good today too.

7. Approval is 3 days. Election head-to-head is 7 days.

But both are looking good!
