To supply a blurb on a book critical to the President called "Buyers remorse"

It isn't bashing to say that you regret that Obama wasn't opposed in the '12 primary

It isn't bashing to align yourself with a man who said that "Obama Is A Rockefeller Republican In Blackface"

And it isn't dishonest when he claims to be the man to continue the President's legacy

No. Sorry, I don't buy it

reading the article, it's clear they are trying to exaggerate a Bernie vs. Obama conflict.

Bernie Sanders Says It Would Be A ‘Good Idea’ To Primary President Obama

SANDERS: Brian, believe me, I wish I had the answer to your question. Let me just suggest this. I think there are millions of Americans who are deeply disappointed in the president; who believe that, with regard to Social Security and a number of other issues, he said one thing as a candidate and is doing something very much else as a president; who cannot believe how weak he has been, for whatever reason, in negotiating with Republicans and there’s deep disappointment. So my suggestion is, I think one of the reasons the president has been able to move so far to the right is that there is no primary opposition to him and I think it would do this country a good deal of service if people started thinking about candidates out there to begin contrasting what is a progressive agenda as opposed to what Obama is doing. […] So I would say to Ryan [sic] discouragement is not an option. I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition.

...I've also heard it said that Sanders candidacy is dragging Hillary to the left. Is that a bad thing?

Let's face it, Obama wasn't the best negotiator. You don't give up things you campaigned on without getting something in return.

Hell, allegedly politically-savvy people on this board will still ask "why wasn't Obama calling for an increased minimum wage all these years?"

When people paste the literally hundreds of times he did, they move on to something else but then a weak later are asking about minimum wage again.

On all things he did for 8 years. Of course he made decisions and used tactics I disagreed with.

But Senator Sanders (IMHO) is trying to signal that he both respected and supported the President and that the President was a poor leader who pursued poor policy.

Those things aren't always mutually exclusive but he isn't breaking down a "I like this and I oppose that" case. It's insinuated - hinted at and obscured in ways that he can deny at need.

In other words he's playing politics - in a way I don't like.

Supporting a politician is not worship

I question why Bernie is engaged in low level sniping at the sitting President at the same time he's seeking (in the same party) the office for himself

Have the power to kill without trial American citizens - His embrace of the drone program is wrong. = Criticism

The passive aggressive not "attacking" just fostering/promoting anti Obama nonsense is not criticism. It's a cynical attempt to harvest the fruits of 8 years of Obama hate while keeping his hands relatively clean

Hillary is right. Bernie trashed Obama's policies routinely to me and other reporters, especially in 2011-2013 period.

Because as far as remember, it was the very people who support Sanders the most now who were bashing Pres Obama everyday, no matter what good he ever did! In fact that was the only conversation! To be had! Not a peep about Republicans....cause that would have been too difficult!
