Romney lost the debate when he dismissed the moderator and made his own rules

Jim Lehrer lost the debate when he allowed Romney to dismiss him and act rudely.
Obama lost the debate when he declined to challenge or acknowledge Romney's rude behavior.
The biggest losers of last nights "debate" were the American people who were left to witness the most empty 90 minutes in the history of televised programing.

That's the problem. Perception is reality.

The media obviously doesn't value substance when calling wins/losses. The President was not at his best, but I think he made Romney seem very un-Presidential. Talking more and with loudness shouldn't be what wins. Is it a debate, or a speaking contest?

he just decided to let Romney act like an ass...
and didn't take the bait to argue with a flip-flopper.

Romney sounded like he was suddenly a Democrat by his answers.
He's lost already.

The media wants this to be a close race, because that's how they sell
ad space is if the news is juicy.

Chill. Obama's playing rope a dope.

And go vote.

16. He tried to play moderator in the debate with Rick Perry

He asked Rick Perry what his facts were and then took offense when he tried to answer. While it was Romney's turn, he should have appealed to the moderator to enforce the rules instead of acting as moderator himself. And in light of the way he tried to grab the time in last night's debate, always insisting to get the last word, this phrase out of Romney's mouth at the Republican debate was ironic: "You have a problem with allowing someone to finish speaking and I'd suggest if you want to become President of the United States you have to let both people speak"

The guy was an even worse dick to Perry. He's an absolute dick and the way to handle that is to go after him, not to sit back and take it.
